WICKS कॉटन दीया बत्ती
Cotton Diya Wicks
Hand-rolled long cotton wicks (batti) — the soft white thread that carries the sacred flame.
The simplest sacred object in any Hindu home — the cotton wick. We make ours by hand from 100% pure undyed cotton, rolled long enough (~5 inches) to support sustained burning in any standard brass diya, and cut clean for a snag-free flame.
Hand-rolled in Vrindavan by a women's cooperative — buying our wicks supports the livelihood of widow-pilgrim families who have made wicks for the temples there for over a century.
How to use: Twist one end into a fine point, place in the diya cup with the pointed end raised slightly above the ghee/oil level, light the tip. For akhand jyot, slide a fresh wick alongside the burning one and let the flame transfer naturally.
The Kripa promise: 100% pure cotton (no synthetic blend, no dye, no chemical treatment). Hand-rolled by Vrindavan widow-pilgrim cooperative.
